Tx State Government Reform Committee will hold a hearing

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:30 and there may be an opportunity for decorators to address the committe to request that the state end its licensing requirements for interior designers.
(It may be later in the day before we get a chance to speak, but we can't predict a time.)
We encourage as many people as possible to attend, and if you cannot, please contact the members of the committee to state their reasons for deregulating the profession of interior design.
We encourage decorators to state their case briefly and clearly. Licensing does not insure the quality of the work, or the qulaifications of the designer/decorator.
